Tom Cleary started Clear Concepts in 2000. Tom spent his career in manufacturing working in machine shops during college followed by engineering and management roles with aerospace component manufacturers. He eventually became responsible for a successful turnaround as General Manager of aerospace component manufacturer. Tom joined a national search firm in 1993 before moving on to form Clear Concepts. Tom’s fascination with manufacturing started when his father would take him along on business trips. "When I showed up with Dad everyone wanted to show me what they did and how the equipment worked. I just thought it was cool to see how things were made." Today Tom lives in Wilmington, NC with his wife, an artist and three daughters. The oldest an accomplish swimmer attending college and the younger two honing their surfing skills.
Jordan Messick grew up in Burlington, NC and attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington where he graduated with a double major in Entrepreneurship & Business Development and Marketing. During college Jordan ran two small service businesses to pay his way through school. He joined Clear Concepts and soon found he had a good understanding of the business and his own potential. Jordan took over managing the operations at Clear Concepts and has been a major force behind the growth of the company even in the slow economic times of 2009.Jordan is an accomplished surfer, wake boards in the waters of the intra coastal waterway and will occasionally make his way into the office after a sunrise "Dawn Patrol" surf session in the glassy waves of Wrightsville Beach.
Corey Lewis served in the United States Air Force and spent the early part of his career in the construction materials industry. In 1994 he joined Lowe’s Home Improvement becoming one of the youngest store managers in the organization. Corey later entered the commercial construction industry developing expertise in the door and access control business and earned certification as an Architectural Door and Hardware Consultant, one of the industry’s highest honors. Branching out Corey established his own company focused on manufacturing and fabrication of commercial access systems. After selling his company in 2008 Corey joined Clear Concepts has become one of our Senior Recruiters. He takes a lot of pride in his hard work and dedication to his career and the relationships he creates with his clients and candidates. A father of two wonderful daughters, Corey is from north central Ohio and moved to Wilmington, NC in 2002 where he and his wife now reside. In his spare time you’ll find Corey in his home workshop designing, building, and believing that he can truly fix anything.
